Not sure on older Horse, but there is a metal tag on that tower where hood closes on left side, up high, maybe dash edge kinda hangs over it on later models. It will have several digits, maybe a decimal and a letter at times, not the hp or size or other things. I have a list if you find such. At times a year will change a single digit or so, but be same tractor, updated.

Welcome to GTT. Check in our Manuals Section. You can download three manuals for free per day. That looks to be an early 60s model. Good Luck, Rick

Thats a 64-66 model looks to fairly complete and in good shape, it even has the the exhaust brace, which is usually gone.
Lawn ranger was the lawn tractor of the line up.
the two hood screws which go into the gas tank are 1/2 inch long and have knurled end the other in the bottom front is 3/4"
you can get them from mcmaster carr

Picked up this 6hp manual start lawn ranger a few weeks back.need to know the model.has 3 spoke steering wheel and the gas tank filler is under the hood. Missing all hood fasteners too.if anyone has a photo to share of how hood is attached, would be muchly appreciated
Just to let you know it is a 33R figured it from the seat and the 6hp engine, its now in my backyard in Kamloops thx. I do have a question though, the only thing that is in not great shape are the wheels. I would like to put the next size up on and make it look more like a tractor with ribs on the front and lugs on rear. Not sure what rims would fit and which tires to get. At present it has 3.50-4 front and 4.00-8 rear. Any help would be appreciated.
thx

Might be hard to find anything larger for the rear since those don't bolt on. They do make 8" AG's.
