 Welcome to the forum! Which LGT 125 is it? Pre '72, '73-'76 open side, or '77-'83 closed side?

An LGT125 is a hydro......You likely have an LGT120 or 100 that someone has changed the hood on.......or it is a pre 1972, whereas it's not an LGT. Some pics would help and the model number of the Kohler engine.

That said, you probably need a new belt or you have a pulley out of whack. I would remove the fender pan, so you can see whats going on as all this is under the seat. That is if it's an LGT. The older pre 72 ones, you can see whats going on as its on the side.

Welcome to GTT. That is a good machine. Pancho62 is correct that an LGT125 is a hydro. We can help you if you post clear pics. The footer of KennyP's post gives instructions on how to post pics. When identified you can go into our Manuals Section and download the manuals for your GT(3 free per day). Good Luck, Rick

Turns out that the tractor is a close sided 120....The guy asked the same question on a Facebook group, at least I figure its the same guy

As for gear drive 125s, never seen one......my understanding is that the "5" meant it's a hydro
