Push broom?!?!

Was cruising on YouTube night before last, looking at Athens implements and such...

One that I keep thinking about is a "push broom" they called it.

It's pretty well a snow plow but with a big broom head on it instead of the mouldboard.

Any idea what a guy would use it for? I was thinking I could build my own for snow and other clean up jobs

I have an older one. Works great!

Works good for dethatching grass, sweeping stone back onto the drive in the spring, and moving snow.

That's a nice rotary broom, wish I had one

 

He is talking about something like this

I was wondering if such a thing would work for plowing snow...

I guess I could build one and find out

It would probably work for light dustings, about like a shop broom I would imagine... just guessing though.
