So did you ever do anything with this engine?
I am into a k321 right now that the PO said" ran but used oil" so he pulled the engine part way apart, the rod and piston came with in a box, these parts definitely weren't blown, but now that I have the engine the rest of the way apart I can tell that it had been rebuilt somewhere along the line, and doesn't look like it has been run much since the rebuild. There's a chip out of the bottom edge of the cylinder, a smear of aluminum on the inside of the block opposite the cam, from an old rod and though I couldn't catch a thumbnail on it there's marks on the crank from the blown rod
The point of all of this is that whoever was inside of the engine did a half azz job and I get to redo it, someone wasted a good amount of money on it, best to do it right the first time.
