Well I was on the fence buying it because I really don't want to fix another one up. I bought it though and will be picking it up tomorrow. Even if I don''t fix it up right away it made the guy I bought it from happy because he needed to get rid of it anyway because he is selling his property as well as shutting down his store.

I wouldn't mind having one of those, not many like that around here!

There are still fuzzy nubs on the 4 ply front tires that were just put on it. It has rear wheel weights and a deck that comes with it too, and a good running k301  that has no guarantee that the carb won't give me issues because it sat so long, but confirmed to be a good runner before it got parked for other reason.

I believe he was dead on about my Roper too, yep it needs a valve job....Lucky for me though is he has some n.o.s. onan parts and can lap the valves for me.

Before and after on my Cub 1250. Get to restoring that baby! I use mine to push snow and mow. She's a worker now.

Turned out nice glad it worked out for you. Was the rear end ok. I practically stole a 1250 a few years ago. I finally tore the engine down back in the fall & was hoping to have it done by now. I got a deck & snow plow. My plan is to rebuild it & make it my grass cutter.
