What size is a Simplicity Model L engine pulley?

I picked up my tractor about 30 years ago and used it to clear snow off my long driveway and plow the sidewalk. I had a gravel driveway then and the lil' Model L with wheel weights and chains worked better than any snow blower I had tried. (didn't shear pins and throw the gravel everywhere!) I loaned the Model L to my brother-in-law to bulldose out a cellar under his weekend cabin. He was slow in returning it and by the time he did, I had paved the driveway and gotten a bigger snow blower. The tractor was then stored away in the bottom of the barn and has been there for the last 15 years.

Anyway, now my son has a house with a gravel driveway and I'm putting the tractor back in service for him.

A previous owner changed the engine to a 3 hp Briggs 80200 and instead of the 3-step pulley I believe these tractors are supposed to have on the engine output shaft, he mounted a 2" diameter pulley and a 2 1/2" diameter pulley back-to-back.

I would like get the right size 3-step pulley for it, but I don't know what the 3 diameters on the pulley are supposed to be. From photos and parts diagrams I have seen, it looks like it could be a very common 2"-3"-4" step pulley, but I can't be sure.

Could someone please tell me the three diameters of this pulley?

Yes, the parts diagram shows the pulley is a Simplicity #DA-13, but I don't think that helps me too much. Unfortunately no dimensions are given.

They show a different number for the pulley on the model M tractor, but the driven pulley is the same on both. Perhaps the only difference between them is the size of the engine output shafts on the two models. Maybe that"s why the previous owner of my tractor never transferred the old 3-step engine pulley when he rep[aced the original engine with a larger one.

On my driven pulley (the one on the gearbox that slides), the smaller step is 4 1/2 inches (O.D.) and the larger step is 7 inches (O.D.)

Many thanks for your help with this.

Thanks Gerry for the measurements. I located a pulley at McMaster-Carr that comes very close. Their part number is #6213K43. It's for a 3/4" keyed engine shaft and the diameters of the 3 steps are 1 3/4" - 2" - 2 3/4"

I get 4 comfortable speeds using the 2" and 2 3/4" steps on the pulley and the "low-low" gear described in some of the manual by using the smallest step.
