Very good idea for most folk.

However,

[1] I don't own a vehicle new/fancy enough to have that.

[2] I don't take my keys out of the ignition - might loose them.

[3] I have a pistol beside my bed just in case someone is smart enough to bring a steak to keep the dogs yapper occupied.

[4] if some good lookin' gal is breaking in to molest me I'm not going to put up much of a fight.

Good distraction for those with a new enough vehicle. We always have pulled the keys so the crackheads can't take a ride.

If your car doesn't have a remote, I'll bet you could rig something up that would serve the purpose. How about an air horn with a remote? I could just hear the shoes running down the hall and the glass breaking as the perp dives through the window. :D

Air horn, they won't be expecting it. It'll get everyone's attention

Best part is it will scare the s##t outta them.

Come to think of it the dollar store here has air horns
