I see pictures of 1947-48 ridemaster's with yellow seats. I found a brochure from 1957 that shows a green seat. Did they change over the color or are all the 1948 ridemaster's seats the wrong color?

Also, I see some pictures of the steering chain where the chain is painted green. Would they have been green on a 1948 ridemaster?  Just curious here and thank you for any thoughts on the subjects.

This is my 48 un-restored Ridemaster that has never been re-painted and still has some of the factory paint on it.

As you can see .. the seat is yellow and the chain is green.

..... You can click on the photo to enlarge it .....

Yes all Ridemaster seat were yellow and the chains were green.   I have yet to see a ridemaster that was a 58.  I think they stopped building them before 58 and just sold them till then.

Thank you guys, much appreciated and btw jdcrawler that's an awesome looking all original piece. So nice to still see a few originals out there. Bolens1000 that is a beautiful restoration. I see that the flywheel on yours is green. I'm guessing that it was originally green and not silver like the engine head? Thanks for all the replies.

I believe they were spray bombed with the shroud on originally from the factory and thats how the green paint got on my flywheel originally, for the restoration I fully painted it separately
