I need to get one of the rear hubs off so I can have some work done on the axle housing. The hub pullers I have, one is a 5 ton, just isn't getting it done. The nut and washer are off. I don't see anything other than the key way for the hub. There is no set screw so I'm not sure why this thing won't come off. Any ideas?

I think that is a beveled axle, so they would be similar to a flywheel coming off. Try some nice love taps on the end of the puller!

I've seen some people tighten it up all the way then leave it there for an hour or even a day then come back every now and then and tap and tighten a little more.
