Hey Doc, Ive been following your new project and must say that you dont mess around do you!!!! If you get a chance I would like to know what kink of paint you chose, and how you are going to apply it to your tractor? by the way I was very impressed how you got that motor running :)

This thing is a monster to move around. I had a fun time when I flipped it upside down to paint the underside. I painted the underside first and then once it dried I turned it right side up. I figured if I scratch the underside's paint no one will see it anyway LOL.
To move it around, I have to tie a strap to the pallet and use one of the Bolens

A good example of older and solidly built and the [NEW & IMPROVED] Stiga . I had to lift the back end and push the rig up the ramp by hand , I was lucky it was a low trailer. I will try to get some pics of steering, frame to compare . All things considered i would probably rather have the beefy bolens .
the new crop 001.jpg I also read that stiga later produced for or aquired the rights to the bolens design which probably accounts for the near identical look .

Thanks!

I got the yellow paint at NAPA, the brand is Martin Senior.
As for painting I use a spray Gun. I just upgraded my paint gun and got a new HVLP Gravity spray gun. We will see how that works out today LOL.

IMO its the the prep work that makes the paint job look great

The only thing I wish I could have done was take those attachment hangers with lift lever off but I pulled out the roll pins and she wouldnt budge. I figured since it was aluminum I better not take any chances of cracking it trying to hit the pin out.
