I'm told it's for a john deere 317 rear 3 point hitch & it'll work on a 318 as well. To me it looks like it's a front hitch set up. Someone please clue me in.

It is a rear three point hitch, it fits the 120,140, 300, 312, 314,  316K and 317 Deere's, all are considered closed frame. The open frame 316 and 318 used a three point setup used off the mower lift rockshaft.

Any value in it? Demand for it? It's part of a package deal of things & can only be purchased all together... I'm interested in the other stuff, but what I want isn't worth what he's willing to take. Trying to see if I can offset my expenses & flip this making my deal on the rest, more comfortable. Thanks for the speedy response too.

If someone has the rear hydraulic lines run on one of the tractors I posted it's basically a mount and go. People that have 140's, especially the H3 version are the ones who usually snap these up, also 316K and 317's. Check Ebay, sometimes people are selling them on there and you can get a idea of price, or check Weekend Freedom Machines, it's a John Deere collector site.

Tyvm Leonard, You've been a big help. Anyone seeing this that's interested in it, let me know asap. If I don't have a tentative commitment on it soon I'll let the deal pass by. Or at least, get a good idea of its value to know I'll at least get my money back on it easily & still be happy with what I'd pay out for the things i want.

I might be interested, I have a 316K with a Brinly hitch on it now but have been tossing the idea around of getting a three point setup too Glad I could help you identify it.

I may be interested as well if the shipping cost isn't a killer.

that's not an old  3-point for a 140, but it will work. I'm only saying that because it is not painted green,  old ones were.  see the bracket where it hooks up to the rear frame on a closed style rear end?  same as a #33 tiller hooks up.  it will hook up to a 120, 140, 300, 312, 314, 316(with a Kohler motor)  they are kinda rare.

Thanks for the lead, but then I'd be in the same boat, except with a 318 hitch to sell. Offers guys, I'm going to talk to this guy at 10am this morning. You're not going to offend me offering possibly a low ball offer, but if I don't get offered enough to offset my payout to what I feel what I'd keep is worth, I'm walkin away.

I can't say at this point how much shipping would be, maybe other members can chime in on that.

That's a heavy unit, so shipping would get up there quick!

Lol, figures. But I'm not looking to get rich on it. I'll only want what I need to get back out of it to make what I think the other things are worth to me. So could still be a very good deal for someone.

If you were closer and I wasn't broke, I'd go for it! Give me a good reason to get the JD 140 H3 going!
