I'm new to GTtalk been following the forum's for years.I just picked up the Landload about 2 months ago and would like to freshen it up. could someone tell me a good rattle can match for it.
I'm gonna guess the Case is a 69 or 70. I'm aiming for 69 considering the decal. Don't know much about the Landlord though. Nice collection and welcome to Gttalk!!!!
Nice herd. Welcome to GTT. I'm color blind so, I can't help with the paint match. That tractor looks pretty good. You may be better off to just clean it and wax it. Original paint is more desirable than repainted. WWW.SimpleTractors.net may be able to help with the paint if you really want to paint it. Checkout our Manuals Section for the manuals that you need(3 free downloads per day). Good Luck, Rick
She looks good. I've had numerous Case tractors and started dwindling them down to a couple. That way I can collect other colors. I kept my 69 444 and 83 226. The 69 is my favorite. Pic of my oldest giving it a workout.
For my landlord, I used Allis Orange due to the tractor's history of sorts. After a bunch of sanding, I found that the base color was allis orange and then later on in life it was repainted with a deep red. I believe the dealer had it painted this way. With all the research I did before painting mine, no one seems to know the correct color. I even went to a professional paint shop for finding paint codes. I've found a few forum posts showing that Rampart Red is the closest you'll get to the original LandLord Red.
X2 on leaving the paint original. You will save yourself work and have a more desirable tractor. Its amazing what a good detail job can do to an original finish.
Nice collection. I agree, if possible leave it original. My neighbor is really into Simplicity GT's. He uses Allis Chalmers Rustolium. It is available at Southern States.
