Installed the no skid tape today. Ordered it online from a skateboard shop. Only $26 for two pieces shipped, cod. Not bad.

Not to nit pick. She looks awesome as she is, but that grill screen is supposed to be same black as the dash. I made the same
boo-boo on both my 14 and 12. Really is worth the effort to take it apart, and change that. It really sets off the look.

Good catch on the grill. I agree totally. The silver grill is one of the central styling themes on these. I painted the screen gloss black on my 8 and it just makes the silver grill Pop. It's worth repainting it the next time you are working under the hood.

Yeah, I wasn't sure if it was supposed to be the flint grey (which it is now) or black. I had it light silver already and repainted it flint grey, it didn't make a big difference. I wanted to find a new screen for it, but didn't have much luck.

If it isn't rusted out you should be able to repaint it. If you have an electrolysis rust removal system that would remove the paint and rust completely allowing you to repaint black without plugging up the holes with paint. You have to spray thin coats to keep from partially blocking the screen with paint. Your tractor looks great and these are just details but with the quality of work you have done so far it seems worth it to me to get it in factory colours.

I don't think the mesh is original. It has 1/4" octagonal holes in it. That's why the darker colour didn't show much. I do not have another tractor to compare to.

The grill is supposed to be "Silver Mist", with the perforated screen part being black. The rims are also supposed to be "Silver Mist". But it's still a great looking tractor just the same.

I sure that screen is original. Looks like in 75 and 76 they went to the octagonal holes.
I have a 75, MF14 with that style. My MF16 also. I guess, when the 16 came out they used the same screen for 14/16.
I think, because you have the footrest extensions, that would make yours a 75, or 76, as those I believe where offered as optional on the 14 at
that time, but standard on the 16.
Oh yeah, my brothers 75 MF14 also has that screen.

Good to know. I'll pull it off and repaint it, wont take much time. You guys will have to find something else to pick at then LOL :beerchug:

Installed a new fuel pump on the old girl today. Ordered my knobs from Busy bee as well.
