Picked this up this morning.  The company started out in Kokomo, In. then moved to Decatur, Il.  A friend of mine has one with a Lauson engine on it.

The guy that actually bought it at the auction only wanted it for the name plate, because his name is Henderson.  He was going to cut the name out and hang it on the wall or something.

That really a mower?  What the heck are those blades or whatever??  Haven't seen that before.  This their own engine or some other brand. Two stroke, really different.

Yes, they are kind of like a flail mower except they don't swing like a regular flail mower.  It is a Clinton engine, not sure if two stroke or four, haven't really messed with it yet.  Been working on the Cub Cadet I got.

I have a similar Henderson.  Mine has four wheels and a Briggs. It throws the grass clippings out the front.  It works, but That's about all I can say for it.    Rick

I have one with the 3 horse Briggs.

Cuts like crap.  Its a wonder they sold any.

BTW,  your engine is 2 stroke so mix oil in the gas.

I figured it is a two cycle, just hadn't really looked at it.  Some of the cooling fins are bent pretty badly.  It doesn't have the pulley for the starting rope either.  Haven't checked to see if it's stuck or not.  I suppose you sharpened it very carefully.  It would be a challenge though.
