I saw this potato plow on the Lancaster CL for Farmall Cubs , thought it was a nice design and looks like it could be made for a GT out a middle buster that I have but doesn't have the extra wings or rods. 00J0J_lUAwdCUA7L6_600x450.jpg 00505_ceIT5DF1uIe_600x450.jpg

Looks like it will work, but it'll pull like a boat anchor

Looks to be close to the design of what I have seen used with a JD 332. It just about maxed it out pulling through clay ground. Probably not hard with a Cub tho.

Went to TractorData to see what a Farmall Cub weights  , a lot more then my 2418 PK lol .  I didn't think they weigh that much  1500 to 1900 lb without extra weight !!!   Could go all the way up to 2900 lb !!   The one I use now is a middle buster/potato plow from a Sears style 3 point that was extended with 2" square tubing when I got it . It works ok but not was wide as this one and the height from the tip to the beam is shorter , it could be a few inches . Without changing it too much I think if I got another shovel and welded or bolted some wings with some rods it might do a better job bringing the potatoes to the surface in one pass . What I have to do ow is make a pass , pick the ones easy to see , then use a fork to get those before making a second pass . Anyone have a suggestion on how they do it ?
