The weather is great. I'm feeling okay so, I thought that I would do oil changes and get running an LT and a gasoline power air compressor that I bought.

The Timberland was my wife's cart puller and allowed her to get around our property. I got it for her because it does not have a center hump so, that she could get on and off easier than the other tractors we have. The battery is now dead and I have no use for it. Figured clean it, oil change and get it running to sell it. I use a jumper to start it.SD531448.JPG

I changed the oil and tried to start it. No luck. She turns over but doesn't catch. Smelled of old gas. Pulled air filter off and found a mouse nest in the flywheel cover. Cleanned it out. Poured gas into carb. She started but then died. Repeated several times but no luck. I'll have to drain the old gas and clean the carb. Tomorrow.

Then there was the air compressor. I did the oil change, put gas in the tank and took the air filter off. Poured alittle gas in the carb and she started. Played with it a few times to get it to run better. She smokes but I had put a bunch of Marvel in the gas.SD531449.JPG

There are problems with the compressor. I found loose tubing and I suspect the pressure regulator is stuck. Another project not completed.

To avoid a mess when draining the oil, I made this flume from a cardboard corner from some packaging. The old pull cord held it right in place. Good Luck, Rick

On the bright side your oil flume worked and you didn't make a mess. Good luck today , stay positive.

Or do what i do...shove it in the corner for 10 years, decide to dig it out, remember what a frustration it was, then shove it back in the corner again :)

At least it's no 2 for 8

Roper and moto mower run... that's about it.

I lied. I can get on and go without fooling around with battery chargers and such. The beater craftsman always is dead. And needs a sniff of ether or a shot of gasoline in the carb throat to start nice
