This one will be my wife's plow day machine. Currently has a 12hp Kohler in it.  Plenty of room for a little 2 cylinder liquid cooled diesel.  Thinking a little Kubota unit out of a semi truck APU would work perfectly in there.  Wont do much probably till next year though unless an engine falls into my lap.    Mike

Swap meet in Portland tomorrow!  Guess you know, have seen you  mention.  Was a couple little diesels around at fall show there. I'ld keep the K engine in it, but that's just me.

The diesel would be cool but I'm with GL. Hard to beat the Kohlers. My 16 with the k341 will yank a 12" plow all day without much strain.

I prefer diesel power as it doesn't care how long it sits around not getting run much.  Gas gets stale, even with stablizer in it.  Carbs foul and go lean.  Give me a diesel any day.  This is why I built my little diesel powered Wheel Horse.   While I have the mower deck for the Massey, the special cast cogged pulleys are eroded away and nearly impossible to find.   So the Massey will be a plow day only machine.  I even got a sleeve hitch he started to adapted to the tractor.   So I can finish that up and be plow day ready once she runs.   I do plan to get the Kohler running as it was supposed to have been rebuilt about 6 years ago, then left to sit.  I want to get it running so I can sell it to help fund the diesel engine.
