My stand for the big Craftsman vise was just too tall, making it hard to use and easy to tilt. So this morning I moved it out front and cut 4" out of the post. Now the vise mounts at about 36" off the floor. Thought the bottom needed more weight, so I trapped a couple old brake rotors inside there. Should make it a bit more stable and usable.

Looks good Kenny but I would still be tipping it over. I bought one of HF hitch insert vice bases but I need to modify it to a more usable height. I even use one for my tire changing tool.
