hi guys new here-I just picked up a 1450 Superchief cheap as well as a MTD turfpower plus in an estate cleanout. Both have decks, blowers and blades $450 all in and both seem to run good. I'm hoping to tap onto some knowledge here as I'm going to ground-up restore both. Looking forward to getting at it :)

Nice. 1450 is the biggest engine they put in an angle frame tractor. K321 with a solid state ignition. If the solid state is no good it's easy to convert it to the battery ignition. I see your electric lift died and they put a manual lift on it.

Here is my 1450. I retrofitted 1965 foot rests so I could use this style of plow. You can see the electric lift

mine definitely doesn't have that :mad2: but I want one:) .I'm going to be searching but a quick question may help. Is anyone aware of a source for the emblem kits? Or reproductions? Kinda early in the game but I am beginning to gather. I'll post up detailed pics today as its Super Chief Sunday :dancingbanana:   ~Res

Decals are all over on the these. I believe maple hunter sells decals for these. If you do a Google search for Jacobsen decals. Jacobsen made a lot of cool impliments. You just need to find them. My favorite is a front mount reel

a few pics today. I'm getting my inventory figured out.Pretty much a minimum of 3 new belts for tractor, snowthrower and cutting deck. The cutting deck needs a good cleaning but functions. The snowthrower sounds good and there is a plow for it. I'm gonna use it as my main snow mover then restore in the spring to as close to new as possible. It was well maintained witha bill for $1000 to rebuild the hydro rear in the paperwork in 2013.

A few more pics included

You have the desirable 48 in steel deck. There are some shields for it on ebay now. Someone already converted it to battery ignition which is a positive in my book.

just got a box from the original owner. It contained the mower deck shields, the missing side shields for the tractor and the battery cover.

Hoping to find the electric lift next
