Surfing the web I found a bolens 7173-H for $200, no deck... but looked solid so I sent him a message, got tons of pictures and one of the hour meter showing 120 some odd hours, kohler kt17 series 2 motor and the tractor honestly looks like it has sub 200 hours on it... I offered 125 and he took it, so was this a good buy? Front mid and rear PTO and has the 3 point on the rear

Welcome to the forum. I don't think you got hurt on the tractor. Not sure how you came up with that being a Bolens though???

Nice looking Gravely. Looks like a Ariens/Sperry New Holland built machine. Ariens GT17 is exactly the same other than the hood.

Yup. I had to pay 75 for a sleeve hitch... I wish I could find a good horizontal twin Kohler for that let alone a complete tractor..... You stole it.

Front engine tips it off as an Ariens' Gravely. Although Gravely did make the front engined 408 back in the early rider days, Gravely riders are rear engined. That being said, you got a well made tractor, in great shape, at a great price. Can't get a decent push mower for that today.

Congrats, all the best with it!
