I am looking for a fuel tank for a 68 112 Hydro MM (Jacobsen) Garden tractor.  This is the one with the cap offset to the side to line up with the hole in the hood.  Have a good running tractor but the tank is toast.  Is so rusted inside that the bottom is paper thin.

Thanks,

Ryan

wonder if this tank would work for you, what are the length width and height of your tank and does your JD have the Tecumseh motor?

Dr. Bolens,

Sorry I should have been more specific, this is a 112 Minneapolis Moline (jacobsen), not JD.  Thanks for checking on the tank though.

You need the 68 to 70 angle frame tank. Do not get an earlier tank. The filler hole is offset more and it won't fit the gas tank hole in the hood. I have a bunch of earlier tanks but the later model tanks rusted out more due to the fact water could get into the tank

This makes sense, we had a similar tank we tried, mounted up no problem but just as you said, the hole did not line up with the hole in the hood.  Must be an early tank.  So does anyone have a 68-70 tank in good shape they would like to sell?

Thanks,

Ryan
