Hi all, nice day here in MN so I got the final fall chores done leaves mulched implements in the barn for the winter then got to working on the LA got it wired for alternator ignition switch ammeter, tomorrow will get the light switch installed and connected. Got the sediment bowl installed and a metal gas line made to fit poured gas in the tank turned the shutoff valve open and that worked and no leaks happy days are here. Started the engine and all was good alternator is working ammeter indicates + charge and the ignition switch works, drove it outside for a short drive around all was good.

Hi all, well little Johnny is getting close to be complete, got a replacement drag link and front spindle and installed them today, fabricated an end cap for the DS cover, next week its to get the LH front tri-rib tires installed looks like I'll need to put a new inner tube in the RH rear tire will paint the front wheel and am kicking around the idea for painting the rear ones also, working on fabricating a headlight mount did one yesterday but I'm not completely sold on it. Had little Johnny out for a test drive this afternoon it drives and steers better & it is running very nice and it sure starts good, have a decal kit on its way so that will be a fun day installing decals is not my favorite thing to do.

Right now the paint on the rears look fine. Suppose they're not going to look so hot when the fronts have a fresh coat on them?

Hi all, the decals and shifter boot came today so got them installed also fabricated a light mount and got it installed along with the headlight and taillight installed an adapter pipe for the muffler the adapter slips over the manifold and the muffle fits in the adapter this way if Little Johnny is out in the rain water can't run down the muffler and into the manifold also installed a rain cap. Its getting close now am working on the RH fender its been bent and the welds have broken loose from the fender bracing boy its a tough little devil trying to get it bent back in shape  Went to start the engine this morning and just a couple of pops enough to kick the starter out but no start kept trying finally started and only ran on one cylinder found that number one spark plug was dead puller the wire out of the mag nipple and got a good blue start and the plug started firing as soon as it was plugged in the plug wouldn't fire so removed it cleaned gaped it and tested very poor spark so I picked up 2 new plugs installed them and it starts and runs better than ever, was thinking I should put new plugs in so now its done.

Hi, got back to working on little Johnny finally got the LH front tire mounted and the wheel cleaned up and painted the RH wheel is in the paint room and will be painted tomorrow got the RH fender cleaned up repaired painted and reinstalled, the seat and seat mount bracket is also painted. There was a problem with the alternator it would only charge at 5/7 amps (this is a 55 amp unit) I was wondering if it was bad brushes but decided it wasn't that due to it was producing 14+ volts so next suspect was the cheap Chinese ammeter so I tried another US made one same results so I reinstalled the first ammeter and while turning the mag switch to off I noticed that the charging amps went up to 10+ amp when the switch was half way between on/off so I disconnected the excite wire at the alternator started the engine and just touched the excite wire to the alternator post it started charging as it should 15/20 amps and then dropping off as the battery charged. So I decided to try a diode in the excite wire and that was what was needed  works like it should,

Hi all, well Little Johnny is pretty much finished 99.6% anyway, got the fenders painted and reinstalled the front wheels are painted and installed along with the hub caps. I like this tractor it starts and runs so nice but I have little use for it not sure what I;ll do with it but for now its got a spot in the warm shop.
