I'd certainly understand you not being able to make the trip Brian.

I've got two tractors ready to go.   I know that one of them is plowing real nice.  At least  it was in my brothers garden in some "chocolate" dirt.  We'll see what they do in that Kentucky clay.     Rick

I am beginning to get concerned with the soybean harvest.  Steve is just beginning harvesting beans, and he's a long way from getting to my place, as it was his last planting.  He didn't get to harvest any ground last week at all due to rain, and he's behind.  Just have to wait and see.

I just found out my Dad is coming up on the 4th. Thought it was going to be no plow day, then he said he'd like to come! So, still planning to be there, assuming the beans are gone!

Does that combine by the field still run? Maybe Eric could harvest, instead of plow, on Friday!

Steve likes a lot of beans getting to my place, so we'll just have to wait and see!  Went to PT this morning and got my neck stretched, and my arms in every direction.  Pulled things that haven't been pulled that far in a loooong time.  I had a headache when I woke up, but after the neck stretching, it went from a mild one to a nasty old headache!  Went on into work, loaded fertilizer and delivered 3 loads.  One load went back to the area we went before, but a few miles further....60 miles from the store.  Made it through work ok, but had a bad surprise at quitting time.   My brake light came on this morning and I knew my brake fluid was low.  I topped it off before coming home after work, but had to stop for a loaf of bread.   Saw brake fluid dripping onto the parking lot, so limped on home, prepared to use my emergency brake if need be.  Still had some brake, but very weak by the time I got home.  Looks like the brake line corroded behind a mounting block on the rear end tube.  I'll put it on the lift in a bit, and if I can do a temp repair on it I will.  Otherwise I'll take Dad's truck to work tomorrow.  I've been needing to rotate my tires, so I'll get a new set of rear brake shoes, both new rear brake cylinders, and whatever brake lines needed to do things right over the weekend.  My RR brake cylinder has leaked ever so slightly for a while now anyway, so I'll do both sides while I'm at it.

And I thought I'd come home and kick back!  :(   Nope!

So are you taller now? LOL I hate headaches, don't get them often. More issues with the neck not turning like it should.

Sorry to hear of the brake fluid escaping captivity. That's not a good situation. Hope all goes well with the fix there!

Sounds like I need to invent some brake fluid stop leak.

Don't worry, I'll leave a few rows for you on Saturday. I think I'll even have my 140 down there. It won't be completely done but good enough to turn some dirt.

Guys, I'm planning on attending this year -- will be my first time at this plow day.  What are the recommended hotels in the area.  I'll be driving up from Knoxville.  Look forward to participating this year.

Bob

Bad news guys. Talked with Steve just now, and he's not going to have the soybeans harvested in time. That coupled with all my Dr's appointments and there's just no way I can handle it at a later date. I'm sorry everyone, but life is crazy busy.

Sometimes you just gotta take care of yourself! Thanks for trying, Daniel. Now looking forward to spring!

Saddened to hear this, but life has a way of doing things we don't agree with. Maybe I can make the Spring session. Thinking about a 2 bottom for Alice!
