I am tentatively setting the main plow day for November 4th, with fields open for plowing Friday and Friday evening also.  Soybeans got planted late, so likely couldn't have it any earlier, and I can't guarantee Steve will have the beans harvested by then.  Of course weather can also delay the event, so stay tuned as the days approach.  In case of cool weather, I "hope" to have a shed tarped off with a torpedo heater in there, plus a fire ring for outside.

Address for event is 356 Ball Hollow Road, Hodgenville, Ky 42748

I am going to try to make it. I dont think the weekend of the 4th is tied up, but the weekend before and weekend after are occupied by other events I attend locally.

At this point the New Holland is still down from last Ball Hollow and I never got around to attempt three to five in fixing it. However, I may try to rig the homemade tractor with a sleeve hitch plow, but time may not permit. I currently count five weekends available to finish my hit and miss engine projects, and the homemade tractor refinements, and those are all musts before the winter hits. Pretty sure I have no backup plow tractors...

As of now, we will be there. More than likely 3 machines again. What's coming is still in the air. Shoot me a text about other things I can bring along. I might have another driver with us.

I'll have to check with the wife, but I should be there  Gotta weld up the broken hitch from spring plowing, but that's a quick job.

Famous last words! Sure you don't want Daniel to do it for you?

I stand by my quick job, only because I know he's always ready to weld on the field!

I actually just remembered that I have to rewire the stator, too. Be nice to have it actually charge the battery.

Haa...you don't need a charging system. The 1655 didn't have one this spring

Neither did my JD140! Or a choke, for that matter! But the stator wires are hanging out the side of the engine, and I got zapped a few times this summer. I guess that tells me it's still working!

Great news!!!!!

Skullbone and myself are excited knowing we will hopefully get to plow this year. Sure hope the weather man does a better job than he did last spring. We are afraid that if the weather isn't perfect again and we don't show up that y'all will think we are only fair weather plow boys.

Daniel, we really appreciate you having plow day and are looking forward to being there.
