I have an opportunity to buy a Cub Cadet brand "backfill blade" for my Cub.  I've downloaded the owners manual already (Thanks Kenny!) and it seems very straight forward to attach.  I have a couple of questions and I'm hoping that someone on here can answer them.

1.  How good do they work?

2.  Are they built well?

3.  This is the first one that I've seen.  Are they somewhat "rare"?

4.  What do you think would be a fair price?  I was thinking $150

5.  What else can you tell me about them?

Thanks

Mark

Those blades are fairly uncommon. I have the York rake for my 147, it's very well built and works well. The frame for the rake is the same as the frame for the blade. I use a back blade on my Economy tractor for grading the gravel on my driveway, and it works a heck of a lot better than I thought it would.

Thanks for the information!

When I looked at the manual it also showed the rake.  Unfortunately, this is only the blade.  I would love to have had the rake as well.

You're welcome,Mark. 150 is a good price for that blade. Both the rake and blade seem to be pretty scarce. I get a lot more use out of a back blade, since I'm usually pulling washed out gravel back up the hills on the driveway.
