Hello, I have a line on a case davis crawler dozer with aux hydraulics and a front blade. The owner says it does not look to be used much and is in great condition and running great. He wants $1750 for it, what do you think, us this a price that is acceptable if it is in great shape? To tell the truth I have always wanted a tracked unit so will most likely buy it but just looking for some insight. Thanks in advance!

I am not familiar with the Case-Davis machines but I do remember 20 years ago a friend had a Case 310 tracked loader- backhoe. He was having trouble finding parts for his machine while I had no trouble finding parts for my Allis Chalmers HD6G. Make sure it has the manuals with it. It does sound very interesting. I would like to see pics. Good Luck, Rick

My dad had a tracked Davis trencher years ago. The only issue we had with it was the book was on upside down and would throw the chain off. Once we flipped the boom over and extended it out to 4.5 feet never had any issues. We used it to put in hundreds of water lines around the farm.

My dad has a Davis Little Monster 3 wheeled backhoe. It has a 2 cyl Wisconsin and a 47? Chrysler rear end. The rear pivots and you can raise it up and tow it with the pintle hook. That is a digging machine!

Picked up the Case today but just got back so will get pics tomorrow! It is quite the machine, the previous owner never really used it and it is in great shape. Unfortunately the trencher and or vibratory plow was not with the machine but all the rear hydraulics and tilt hitch are so I will rig up a back blade and try to also adapt a small backhoe to attach when needed. If anyone has a line on a small backhoe I Would Be Interested. It has a four cylinder wisconsin making 46 horsepower and runs like a top. Also may be looking for a loader that could be modified, I would like to make this into a can do most jobs type machine as it is small enough to maneuver in the woods. My only issue is getting the wife to let me drive it, I think she may become permanently attached to the seat!

With a 4 cylinder Wisconsin that is bigger than the one we had growing up, ours had a one cylinder Wisconsin engine.

I have a Case Davis trencher.

The trenching unit was bent/broken when I got it so I removed the remnants.

It has the push blade on the back (I might move it to the front).

And it has a 2 cylinder Wisconsin engine that I'm slowly working on getting going.

They are nice tough machines.
