Newbie here.... Got a JD 316

Newbie here. Got a JD 316 off of craigslist. Made the mistake of painting the engine covers then I knew I had to complete the project.

First pic was as received. This pic is what I consider 75% complete. Since this photo, I have finished the wheels and put new tires on.

Welcome to the forum. Your 316 is looking good. I have been working my way through a major refit of a 314. It's nearing completion. I hope it turns out as nice as your 316.

I have more green stuff than Massey red. Five years ago refurbished a 316 Onan and gave it to my nephew ..... who has 3 boys. They love it.

Thanks for the warm welcome guys.

Here is a pic from last night. New tires, repainted wheels and the new dump cart.

You may notice the tail lights. I found an old 318 tail light harness on ebay and added the working tail lights which I thought are much better than the reflectors.

Next up is the deck.
