Stripped threads

Took off intake an carb. From my 1655 today to clean carb.put back together intake bolts on right side doesn't tighten carb.dont spit gas out of top now but intake sucks air. Spay carb. Cleaner while running engine hesitated. Any one ever re tap head with next size maybe metric.or what's best fix.

Put in a heli coil , then you can reuse your old bolts . They cost about 25 bucks for a kit  .There easy if you have a drill and a tap wrench.

I would not try re-tapping a stripped bolt, if it is the bolt that is striped.  If it is the threads in the block that are striped, do what Bill 76 siad.  If it is the bolt, get a new one.

Took care of stripp threads .holes were deep enough to use bolt 1/4 inch longer without bottoming out.intake tight no leaks thanks for all input.
