Hi yep its gone gone gone, the Onan I removed from the 1974 SS16 and installed the B&S Vanguard twin V 16 hp a fellow called he was looking for an engine for his skid loader so I hope it works out good for him. I told him about the engine and my dislikes so he knows what hes getting.

Thanks Kenny here's what I would say look for and buy a nice B&S Vanguard much much nicer running engine and us poor boys can afford parts for them.

Glad you found a good home for it.
I personally like the Onans.
Buddy calls them Moanins but he calls the BS Briggs and scrapiron.
He refers to the engine in my tractor as a TeJunkSeh. Believe it or.not, he's a Kohler guy

To each his own.  I have a 16 hp Onan and it runs fine.  Had to put an electric fuel pump on it so it will run below 1/2 tank and but that is only a fuel pump issue, not the engine.  I am having a lot bigger issue with the QT rear end/ hydro than the engine.
