I picked up a Pennsylvania Meteor back in May and have got it going.  Had to pull carb and "really" clean it and new fuel pump.  This paint job was on it when I got it and I am leaving it alone as it is a really good job.  It was painted at one time as a parade tractor for a Shriner group.  The younger grandkids really love this one as they can ride beside Papa Bear on the "wide" seat.  Really neat as few folks have ever seen or heard of this one.  The original Tescumseh 10 is not on it--Kohler 10 running the hydro pump with pto clutch for blade.  I have a deck, but this one is for fun and to haul around the local shows. I built a front bumper out of 1/2" X 4 flat bar where I could tie it down front and back.  It bounces around on a trailer on our Texas back roads

Nice. I remember when that tractor was for sale in our classifieds.
I've got a 1010 as well. The Tecumseh has some issues so I'm curious about the Kohler swap. Does the PTO clutch fit and line up properly? How about the hydro belt tensioner?

The pto clutch and the tensioner lined ok.   Had to make a custom mount to adjust starter/generator.  But they all work ok.   I can't tell you exactly what Kohler engine this is as all tags were painted over when I got it.

So you're bringing me a good running Kohler 10 or 12 when you come down for Kinzers next week??

;-)
