My cub cadet 129 is not charging. I put a new starter generator on was tested good now where do I look?

It will run with the battery charger on it then about 20 mins after its off the charger.

Voltage regulator, or broken wire in the circuit.

I also say broken wire . Bad connection or bad ground also.

Well I need a starter generator mine would start the tractor. Then looked inside to find broken wires bearing was grinding at the rear end and it was about half full of water for some reason.... Maybe liquid cooled generator..hmmm oh well now I'm on the hunt for a starter generator...

Found no broken wires in the harness or bad dirty connections. Sanded lightly even tho they were good just to be safe.
