Got a start on the balance board! I used the band saw to cut the pipe!

Got that welded together and got the board out. I had to rip 2" off the side so it would fit in the PU bed.

I'll put 2 boards on either side of the pipe so it stays center on balance!

That should hold most anything you're going to put on it.

I worked on the board some more today. I added in 3-2X4 braces underneath just to be safe. I painted the top surface with some tan paint I had left over from a job. Put some fine sand on there to help with traction and put a second coat on. Tomorrow morning, I am going to tape across at center and spray a line across. I'll get some pics up tomorrow, as I didn't have help to flip it and get the pics. Plus I want the paint to dry good.

Got the board done. One thing I did not think about. The board is 6' long. Alice has a 48+" wheelbase. When driving on, the front wheels go over center, raising the end & making it hard to get the back tires on. Should have an 8' board!. But I have a short piece of 4X4 to hold one end up until you get the tractor on it. At least we can get on it and play some.

I found out Alice is rear end heavy. And it doesn't take much to get the board to rock back and forth. Something to do at the show!

Maybe a guy on each side of the "on" side could stand on the corners?

Thought about that also. The 4X4 is short enough to be pulled out if they just have the back wheels on the end. If I can find some thing to use to extend it (1/8" sheet metal both ends?), I will. That could be put on as we set it up. Then I can still haul it in the truck bed. We'll see how it goes this weekend.

Bump
I just saw a video of a barrel race (like with horses) that looked fun. Advantage to the fastest of course.

Anyone have any new ideas or mods to the old ones?

Jousting on anything with a Murphy switch. If course there will need to be padding.

Murphy switch is what I call the switch that stops the tractor when I get/fall off.

I was watching a you tube video where they were playing GT basket ball. They had to push a basket ball from a starting point and push it into a basket ball hoop sized hole in the ground. That looked like fun.
