A bolens is one of the few brands of tractors that I have never owned or even ridden on, but I will have the chance to add one to my collection before long. It is a Bolens 650 and it looks like it has a Briggs engine. I've come here looking for advice on these Bolens critters to see what I should look for and what I should stay away from. From the picture I was shown it look very strait and complete, it has just been sitting in a shed for 20 years and hasn't run in that time period. It comes with a mower deck and snowblower. Now I'm not going to ask the all time great question of "What's it worth" because I know what I'm willing to spend and not spend on it. Just looking for advice on what to look for in a Bolens tractor. For example, are their any hard to find parts on it that if missing I will have a hard time finding?

Any advice would be appreciated! Thanks!

Mike

The 650 should have a 6HP B&S 146402 or 146401 Depending if it has electric start or not.

For the most part almost everything is readily available for both the chassis and motor
