Just had a coil go bad on my CH22 and wondered if anyone had changed theirs over to the conventional, single kill wire, magneto coils and done away with the SAM (spark advance module).

If you can get me the spec and serial I can get you in the right direction to the conversion if possible on your motor

Number on your current coils will help as well

The CH22S spec is PS-66527 and the coil is Kohler 24 584 36S

Yes it is easy to do. You will need part number 25 707 03-s comes with 2 new coils and the wiring needed. The kit runs around $90.00

You can convert them to the 25-703-03 kit ,

I do stock them if needed
