Hi everyone, I'm new and am joining to hopefully find out more about a MF 650 rototiller that I was just given.

It's in great condition and it seems complete.

The splined male drive shaft sticks out of a pipe about 3/4".

There are 8 ribs on the spline.

It came with no other shaft, joint or extension.

My question - can this be adapted to a standard tractor 450 RPM PTO

Thank you very much!

They use a gear box that mounts where the mower deck mule drive gets mounted. a drive shaft goes from the gear box to the tiller. It sounds like you need the gearbox and drive shaft.

You're missing some important parts.
I don't know the rpms, but you'll also need to watch rotation.
I was told once the gear box was 5:4 and the pullies are similar size
If that's right, and the input is at 2000, that'd be about 1600 at the shaft.

It might be a good idea to download the assembly manual that is in our manuals section
