After looking over some scans of Page tractor manuals sent to me by member oldiron1, I recognized the garden cart. I passed on one a while back not knowing that it would be the correct cart to go with my Page tractor. I did a search and found a rough one for sale 15 minutes away, so I went and picked it up. It's very well built, but almost no paint is left on it. The rims and wheel bearings are in nice shape and I have an original pair of Firestone tires for it. I have to make a tail gate for it, but that will be simple. I'm attaching a link here where member Kennyp
discusses the one that he picked up. The clear pic below of the decal was taken by Kennyp. Thanks Kenny!

Thanks Joe, the cart is built out of heavier gauge steel than I'm used to seeing in these carts. It will take some work to restore it, but it will be well worth it!

Ya, it's one piece of sheet from rim to rim.
Cheap carts are four different panels.
They do that so they can ship them broke down.
Also the front is welded on.
I never really understood the swivel pivoting draw bar hitch?
But I'm sure it's better than anything else out there!
The tailgate on mine is pivoted on the top.
I think it would be better pivoted on the bottom.

The pivoting draw bar hitch would keep the hitch from binding when using a pin instead of a hitch ball. So far I've seen two ways that the tailgate mounts on other Kensico carts. Is yours still in original paint, Joe?

Yes it is.
It was purchased with a Jacobsen.
So, it's orange.

Thanks Joe. I read that the ones for Jacobson were painted orange in Kenny's thread. I'd like to find some other Kensico attachments in the future.

Nice score! I like my cart. My tailgate is a slip in with 4 pins. It holds a lot of material!

Very cool!  I have some Kensico/Simplicity literature, but don't recall the color of the Kensico equipment.  I will have to look.

Thanks Kenny. I was looking at a pic of how your tailgate is mounted on your cart and it looks a bit different than how mine would have been mounted. I found a few pics of other Kensico carts, but not many. Did you end up getting the decals made for your cart?

Here's how my tailgate should be set up, Kenny. These are pics of Rock farmers Kensico cart made for Jacobsen and in orange paint. I'm going to copy this tailgate and tailgate mounting system since that's what was originally on mine. I'm not sure if the tailgate mounting set ups were different on the different size carts, or if Kensico just changed the mounting set ups over time. I have to make up a dump pin and chain, also.
I would like to see pics of the Kensico attachments for Simplicity tractors, Josh. Dark green may have been the original color for them, but the company owners son did state that they painted the Kensico trailers for Jacobsen, orange.

Here are a couple of more Kensico attachments. Kensico aerator, photo by John Bosch and a Kensico lawn roller, photo by Jason Kozlowski. Like the cart, these attachments are green and white.

Never did do the decals. Couldn't get a definitive answer on how many needed!

I may look into having them made, Kenny. Do you have a good straight on shot of the decal?
