I was searching the internet and came across a large e-bay web site for manuals, in the section for Bolens front mount Sno-Casters they had manuals listed by year and model #.

Here is what I found

Bolens front mount Sno-Caster 36"

18516-01  (1963)

18516-02  (1964)

18516-03  (1965)

18516-04  (1967)

18516-05  (1967)

http://www.geocities...erronag/manuals

Does this look right to you guys? It makes sense to me but I don't have anything to cross check it with.

Thanks for your help!

Could be true, but I'm not sure.

Production year info for tube-frame attachments was never released to dealers.

It's hard to say where your source got those dates.  ....It's possible those dates were printing dates from the manuals, so they don't always coincide with calendar years.

I dunno !!

Usually, the -00 numbers represented some engineering or production change, which may have happened mid-calendar year.

WilberJ had some production change info for the tractors, but I don't know if it exists for attachments.

Thanks Bruce Dorsi,

I feel like I am in the ball park with these dates to where I could say if I had to pair the Sno-Casters to the tractors I have from the 1960's which are the 1000, and the 1050 the 18516-02 or 03 would probably have been sold with the Bolens 1000 depending on what the dealer had in inventory.

The 18516-04 or 05 would have been sold with the Bolens 1050 that I have again depending on the dealer inventory, I am sure like tractors there would have been attachments left over from the previous season that the dealer was trying to sell and get rid of.
