I recently got an ole 5260 walk behind with an eight hp kohler. The carb is in bad shape. I was hoping to find a replacement or a kit. It's a Walbro ; WHL17-3287. I will try and post a pic or two.

Thanks alot

Cliff from Liberty

Interested to see the carb. I have never seen a Walbro carb on a Kohler. In the late 70s I worked for a Gravely dealer and serviced many 5260's and 526's.

If you go on eBay, there are replacement carbs being sold. These are Chinese made and the quality is reflected in the price. Some are more expensive than others.

Should just take the regular WHL repair kit that gives you gaskets / needle and seat cost about $18.75 from me

Went through my old service info and found Kohler carb cross reference and KT17 KT19 service bulletin, uploaded them in the Kohler engine section, don't know if helpful to you or not.

Hi!  I've got a Gravely 5260 too and I need a new carb as well.  Throttle shaft all fouled up, broken off actuator arm and REAL sloppy in its bushing.  Whatever did you find out CGP?  I can't see any pictures that you might have attached of your carb if in fact they went through...

Thanks!

Jim
