Told them it was stored at work, I gave them the adress and the time I would be there 7am to 330 pm. All 9 were no shows.lmao..I think it's funny because I don't wait for them, I'm at work all day anyway.i just wonder what these people are thinking.are they that bored?. Thought I would share this, im sure all of you went thru it.funny thing ,9 straight no shows, my personal best lol...

Sad part is that it make it harder on the legit guys to get someone to hold an item

I sold a unit in 4 hours. Guy said will send a check, call  you when I can write down add.  Next morning 7am he calls, this is Monday.  Should have had the check yesterday, no show today- called him.  Went to the Dr. Mon. and didn't feel well so didn't get the check out till yesterday (Wed). Not holding first $$ in my hand buys it.  Best have his check tomorrow or it goes to the next guy.

When I respond to an ad it means 2 things, 1, I am truly interested, 2,I'll be there as soon as I can get there before someone beats me to it. I have left work for an hour to pick things up.

There is an old saying: Money talks, BS walks. I have found that most sellers appreciate that I am honest. I don't ask for people to hold things anymore because I did a year ago and it went bad. My van broke down in the driveway and it took me three days to fix it. I called and explained. He held it for 2 days but gave up on me. I called to check and then apologized.

I just try to be honest and polite. Just because others are sh*theads doesn't mean that I will lower myself to their level. I did have one bad experience when selling. The CL caller got directions but then said that he couldn't come for awhile. I had to go out. He came while I was out. Two Jeep snow plows and a frame disappeared about that time but I don't know if it was him. Good Luck, Rick

I understand that some will try to lowball sellers, but I see nothing wrong with a little bit of negotiating, I honestly don't like the attitude that you should just give them their asking price, I think people are losing this skill right along with mechanical skills.

What I don't like is when someone is low balling before they have even seen the item, there usually the ones that aren't coming anyway ..

You want to try to change my set price? Good luck! Most Everyone all ready knows what they want to get.low balling is a waste of time.

You misunderstood my post, I don't like lowballers, but I see the art of negotiating disappearing more and more, we are talking about two different things.

I think it's an impulse thing. They see it and want it, but then they have time to think about it and change their mind.
