Got this from a buddy today for free , can't figure out the number tag for the year it was made. Engine turns free , no spark and heavy as he**.

Model # 143432

Type    502601

Serial # 187398

It's a 2500 watt champion gen head that looks like a winco?   I'm thinking about 6 hp engine

Just took the cover of the gen head and sad to say it appears to be cooked so it may be off to the scrap heap ,

That is one of the engines that you can't really date. Best guess is early 60s. 5-6 HP would be right.

First thing that comes to mind looking at the design of the engine and generator would be the 1960's

After plugging some numbers in putter that's kind of what I came up with---- 6hp made no later than 1963.

The oil bath air filter dates it to very early 60s and earlier. Since you've got nothing to lose except time, take the gen apart and carefully inspect it. I resurrected one with liquid tape one time. You probably need to clean the points. Good Luck, Rick
