HEY GUYS

I DON'T HAVE A LOT OF EXPERIENCE EATING CROW, BUT WILL TRY, I HAVE ADVISED SEVERAL TO PURCHASE THE $5-6 FUEL PUMPS LISTED FOR B&S, KOHLER & ECT.FROM CHINA, SAME DESIGN AS $40 PUMPS, HAD PURCHASED SEVERAL OVER THE LAST 5 YEARS FOR SEVERAL ONANS, SOME FOR A BOOSTER PUMP & SOME AS THE MAIN PUMP, WELL ALL WORKED WONDERFUL FOR 2 YEARS, UNTIL RECENTLY HAD 2 TO STOP PUMPING, NO PROBLEM HAD SPARES, GOT TIME TO DISASSEMBLE A COUPLE TO FIND THE RUBBER DISC VALVES COMPLETELY  EATEN UP BY GAS, NEVER HAD A DROP OF ANYTHING BUT PREMIUM WITH M.M. OIL, JUST ORDERED MORE PUMPS AT $5.97 EACH, AT THAT PRICE IF THEY LAST 2 YEARS THAT IS OK. MAY GET LUCKY ON A BETTER GRADE OF RUBBER IN THE VALVE DISC.

HAVE A GOOD ONE

JIMMY

I cant get 2 years out of OEM Stihl weedeater fuel lines. I dont have a problem with buying a cheaper product when it comes to parts I have to replace regularly

I would dare to suggest that it is the ethanol added to the fuel that is fouling the fuel pumps. A close associate of mine uses nothing but aviation gas in all of his small engines. Considerable savings on repairs and maintenance. I personally have not seen the benefits of the long list of additives to combat the ethanol problem, as yet..

I always run non ethanol in my equipment and outboards. Never had an issue with pumps, lines or gaskets.
