Hello all,  proud owner of a Ford 80, 140 and wanting to buy a restored Jac 1200.  Why are blades impossible to get for the aluminum decks?  No one seems to make them and the couple of prices at dealers exceede $200.  How do we keep enjoying these great tractors if we can't get something as simple as blades?  Has anyone adapted another part number and made it work?

I was able to clean up the set I bought in 2001 and I did splurge the $150 for a new set from New Holland. That's the only place I was able to find them, at any price.

I got extra blades when I purchased the tractor with a mower deck. It is the steel deck.

I have found these that checking with a tape look to be very close to the same & the price is good.

This maybe something you can work with. I have purchased many items from them with no problems.

As far as these models go only OEM blades will fit from what I can find.

For a machine that old I'd just be happy they are still available and pay the $200 , I'm sure the previous sets are atleast 20 years old on yours, break that down for your new set its $10 a year not that bad.

Found the New Holland part #: REX500903

The set includes 3 blades, a longer center blade and 2 shorter outer blades.

Yesterday I was able to order a complete set of blades through Eversharp in Medina, OH  $69.99.  They seem to carry a lot of old stock parts for Jacobsens.

Holy cow wish I had known that before I paid $150! What else did they have?

Check out Pat's Small Engines. They have all the measurements on the blades . The length, mounting holes and width. I buy them for all my garden tractors from there. Most I've paid is 8 bucks a blade 7.95 flat rate shipping
