:wave: Welcome to the forum. There is a way to make a plate to block off that pump area, not sure I can find the info again. Been years since I did this.

I got the parts to fix the pump and it fired right up . Imma happy happy guy :) The PO dropped off the snowblower and it was in decent shape . I did some research and it appears to be the custom one with the 4 link linkage . I downloaded the manual for it .  It bolted right up and I only had to fabricate an engagement rod from a long piece of ready rod  and a shifter nob . I also made a chute rotation handle which was missing . I grease it up and it seems to be working well . I'll find out when it snows . The only other thing I would do is add a couple of stronger counter springs as this thing is a beast to lift . Next I'll add a set of rear wheel weights and chains then I'll be ready for the white stuff .  I'll get pictures soon .
