A neighbor dropped his old GT off today and I'm in shock :P I can't find any chassis tags on the machine but I'm going to pressure wash it and see if anything is under the dirt . It has an Onan BF-MS/3394F Serial F773260793 . The PO said he was tired of fixing it and knew it would be in good hands if he left it with me :) It belonged to his dad before he got it .It needs some fuel pump parts which he said he couldn't find . He also said he has the barely used snowblower for it that he will drop off . I think I've got the GT bug :D

WELCOME!!!!

Wow, that's a killer deal for free.

The model tag should be mounted on the firewall in front of the battery.

From the looks of it, I'm putting my money on a 1976 SS16, I think the Onan BF-MS is the 16 hp. The decals looks to be the 1976 year. The dash is black though, wonder if it got replaced at one time.

You got a jewel with  the front upper grill, those are 80-90% of the time broken.

Parts for or a new fuel pump are not that hard to find, Try one of our sponsors or just google Onan parts for your model

Thanks for posting.  That's a real nice lookin machine.  Curious why it has a trailer ball on the front, and what kind of things your neighbor got tired of fixing?

Welcome aboard! Free is always good, especially when it comes with a "bug" attached, lol. Just be aware that GT's are addictive, lol.

I have a ball on the front of one of my Gt's because it is easier to back my 16' trailer around by pushing it rather than trying to back it up. Getting to old to keep looking back, hard on the neck.

If this has vacumm fuel pump, just take it off and replace with one of those plastic generic ones from Briggs and Stratton.  Black, kinda round item, mount anywhere and has the three hose nipples needed. Might need to mount diff place and run longer hoses?

I did that with my old quad.  Built a hitch for the push bar.  so much easier pushing.

Only problem with that on this machine is the nose is in such good condition... at some point, it'll get damaged.

Awesome gift.
I didn't see what he thought was wrong with it?

Welcome to GTT. Explore our Manuals Section and download the ones that you need(several for free per day). Ask questions when you have them. Enjoy your new machine. Good Luck, Rick

Thanks guys . Last year I didn't have any GT's now I have this , a MF10 , Bolens 1450 and an Eaton Viking . :D Oh and a bunch of LT's :P

I inspected the front grill and it is cracked on the lower thinner uprights :( not too noticable . The onan fuel  pump seems like it's built into the front of  the carb body with one hose supplying fuel . I'll be calling the area Onan dealer for parts availability soon . That would be good if I can mount a remote pump . I'd have to splice it into the existing supply line . Is that doable  ?
