I'm currently working on a Clinton engine on one of my Walk behinds, not too familiar with these, Carter model N is soaking in seafoam, gas tank is being cleaned prior to soldering a piece back on, and was completely dry, hadn't seen gas in years, what spark plug would be best in this, currently has a Auto lite A7 in it currently, which crosses to a j8c which I have, just want to make sure I have the right plug in it.
Numbers on the tag are:
Model:8761A0A C
Serial: 2494723

Your plug is OK.

The Clinton takes a 14mm x 3/8" reach plug.

Autolite A7, Autolite A9, Champion J-8, J-11, CJ-8, J-8c are all OK.

Most old small engines will use the Champion J8 series spark plugs

or any 14mm x 3/8 plug with the right heat range
