I just found a Bolens Ride-A-Matic 230 01 S/N 38447 in a old truck body.  I was told that this may have been in storage for approx 40 years.  Can anyone tell me what year this tractor is?  I believe it may be all original down to the tires.

Thanks

Year would be a 1959. Looks like the rear of the tractor could of been modified?

Thank you wilberj.  Are you referring to the bar for the cultivators?

The rear hitch is gone, someone welded that stuff on. The lift arm is still there. It's good the belt guard is still on it. Impossible thing to find. The engine cover looks later. Above the data plate on the engine, looks like there's a plug? there? I have one that has a switch or primer button in that spot. I have to look closer at mine. I just got a 59 in, but nowhere as nice as yours.

Here are a few more photos.  I really thought that the cultivators were OE Bolens.

I really need to sort thru everything and see what I want to keep and what to sell. Still missing that elusive 1962 Ram. Missed 3 so far.....
