This lawn tractor has a Kohler motor, a mower deck and a snow plow. It is all yellow but has been repainted. Originally it had some red. Does anyone know what it is?

I thought Wheel Horse at first (1054/953) but after a closer look the fender pan, grille and foot rests are wrong. Nice looking GT whatever it is.

I think it might be a heavily modified 953/1054.  Looking at the pic and at my 1054, the hood, dash, front axle, steering spindle, and outside edge of the grille look the same to me

Thanks for the replies. I agree that it is a wheel horse. However, the headlights and grill are still unlike any wheel horse's I've found photos of. Any idea of the year?

If it's one of the models mentioned above it  would be a 1963 or 64 model. 963 - 1963, 1054 - 1964. I have never seen a grille like that one either, Those model of Wheel Horse grilles were one piece solid castings. Let us know if you find any more info on it.

Sorry! I was wrong, it's a 953. (Maybe, I don't get the divided headlights)
For a better answer, I would check on Red Square and let us know what they say.

So far, the thought on Red Square is that It is a Wheel Horse 953 with Cub Cadet fenders(they are wider than the stock ones. The grille looks almost like the stock one, but I'm still wondering if CC made one like that. All of the stock ones I could find had a WH logo between the headlights.

I would say that because it isn't stock it's value is low, but your friend has the makings of a very nice custom.
