well guys,    I made a last second decision this morning to make my first "Bolens" road trip after talking to a guy about a 1250 mower deck and some implements that he had advertised for sale.So........I pulled a couple car seats out of the van, threw as many seats down as i could , loaded up my 3 year old daughter and headed down the road for about an hour and 45 minutes which wasn't bad at all. After talking with the guy for about an hour or so he helped me load the items in the van , we said our thank you's and good bye's and I headed back home with a pretty good load of stuff!! I've been looking for and at the 48" mower decks for my 1250 for a few months so I was happy to get that and the other items were just a great bonus!! Great guy and I think we were both happy with the deal in the end..................ended up with the 48" mower deck for my 1250, a Haban model 415 sickle bar mower for that tractor, a 54" Bolens front plow/blade, a pair of Bolens rear wheel weights and a set of chains that will fit the tires on my tractor so i am more than excited :dancingbanana:

Good haul!!

I think i made out pretty well! The sickle needs a bearing but honestly should'nt be too big of a deal I don't think..........

Everything seems to be in pretty solid shape with no rot or terribly accessive wear.

Honestly If I had storage space I may of bought the tractor as well, just for a second machine or for parts but it was in solid shape but didnt have any spark so I thanked him for letting the attachments and things go without the tractor.

That is VERY TRUE!!

I would, should be easy fix!!!!

Maybe he will cut ya deal since it has no spark, and you already bought stuff from him, plus drove a distance??

Good luck, and great score!!!

That was a sweet pick up and I think 2 Bolens are better than 1. Better go back.
