Just saw a post on web for a Swisher  single front drive mower.  ONLY $3200!  Just like 1960 again. Same design and all. I'm wondering if just some Chinese brand now??  They were junk back then, can't believe trying them again!  I didn't go to Lowe's site to look. They are listed as place to see them.  Wake me up! Must be in a dream!

Just Googled "Swisher front drive mower" and up came the Swisher web site.  $3299 for a "proudly made in US" mower.  I have a Big Mow, and it is a ball to ride, but $3300? :rolling:

They even went retro on the hood!

But they put the fuel tank under the seat. Put it in front of the steering wheel where it belongs, it needs the extra weight there.

I knew I should of done more shopping before I bought my ZTR. I could of gotten two of those and still been slower.

Bought one brand new on a preseason truck load sale for $250. Ran that thing for many years. hated the ratchet starter they had then. Changed it over to recoil. I think I still have a set of brand new gears for it up in the loft. They would make an excellent  small yard mower but $3299.00. Really?

Time for another heart pill.

Say that's neat. About time some one made an updated mower to look like an old version. The big three car manufacturers do that with their muscle cars why not a lawn mower. I would like to see a MF 14 in a new updated version.
The price may be higher, but so is every thing nowadays.

Slightly off topic, but anybody else look at the Ryobi electric riding lawn mower Home Depot is selling.  Looks like a "fun" machine to use, built sort of like a 4 wheeler & if you look real hard you can find the "made in China" tag.  Don't remember the price but not cheap.

That is shocking that they have chosen to reintroduce that, especially at that price.  Not that it is useless or a bad mower, but what the heck.

The big selling words these days are vintage, antique & retro. Put that look on a new item & it will sell. We all know how they will compare....still junk.
