I got a job interview at a lawn mower dealership tomorrow. I'm nervous I never worked for anyone other than the diesel shop for a few months. A steady paycheck would be nice.

Good luck. I hope it all works out good in your favor. Be yourself not someone that you aren't or that you think they want.

Or his 18 year old daughter!

On a serious note. Good luck!

Be your self. Speak clearly. Think about their questions and answer clearly. Dont be overly nervous. Be honest about what you know and what you can and can't do!

Oh yeah...The boss will think you are trying to hit on his wife and not hire you cause the last guy he fired was messing with her!

Do some research on the shop. Do they have complaints for mistreating employees or customers. Talk to some former employees but don't fully believe them either. Will you have to provide a tool chest? Too many things disappear in shops. Good Luck, I hope it all works out well for you. Rick

BTW Don't get into any politically incorrect discussions. I told an interviewer that my best job ever was as an Army Combat Engineer Officer, she was horrified. I didn't get that job.

To close the deal make sure and ask if she'll be at the company picnic and when it is.

Good luck with the interview.  Make sure you're on time.

Good Luck!

If you were here in NY you'd get a job in a heart beat, all our dealers here are hurting for people who actually show up and want to work!

I'm good friends with many of them and they all are constantly looking for help, no one wants to work anymore!
